This recipe is from Opal Shipley, a good friend of the Stroup family. They live in Iowa and she and her husband Vern always come to the Stroup Family reunion in Monticello, Illinois each year. She is a great cook. The year she brought these cookies I could not quit eating them. This recipe makes a large batch and you’ll be glad when you taste them.
