Cake Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix (I prefer Betty Crocker Cake Mix)
2 eggs, beaten
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cake Directions:
Mix together and press into bottom of a greased and floured 13×9 pan
Topping Ingredients:
2 eggs, beaten
1 – 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 – 16 ounce box powdered sugar
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
Topping Directions:
Pour topping over cake mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, until golden brown. Middle will be somewhat soft. Do not overly bake. With all the butter in this recipe it will burn easily on the bottom.

This is absolutely delicious! Joanna Jett gave me this recipe in 1975. She lived across the street from us in Holts Summit, Missouri. She and I were charter members in a Beta Sigma Phi Chapter, Rho Zeta, for a number of years. This recipe has been around since then and I have pasted it on to lots of friends. Lance just asked for this cake for his birthday this year, 2008.
