Ingredients:
3 ¾ cups sugar
1 ½ cups white corn syrup
1 cup warm water
Directions:
Cook sugar, syrup, and water to 290 degrees, then take off heat, add 1 teaspoon cinnamon oil. Add several drops of red food coloring. Stir in real good! Sprinkle powdered sugar on a piece of aluminum foil and pour candy on. Let it get hard and then break it into piece; it’s ready to eat!

This recipe Lance wrote at school, I think he was in the 5th or 6th grade (1980) in Chillicothe, Missouri. I am not sure who gave him the recipe, but he and his friends loved it. I also remember that they soaked toothpicks in cinnamon oil and sucked on them at school.
I still have the original recipe he wrote on ruled notebook paper. I have made several batches of this candy; it is easy and has a nice taste. Reminds me of cinnamon balls, from when I was a kid.
