
Ingredients:
Large winter pears
dried fruits
chopped nuts
tart jam or jelly
Directions:
Pare and core large winter pears. Stuff with a mixture of seeded dried fruits such as; dates, raisins, cranberries, apricots, cherries, etc. Mix with chopped nuts; I use a variety such as, walnuts, almonds, pecans, hazelnuts, and macadamias. Add enough tart jam or jelly to hold it all together. Stuff the pears and place in a baking dish; cover the bottom of dish with water and bake at 325 degrees F, for about 30 minutes or until tender.

I have used a number of varieties for this treat and they always come out delicious and make a very attractive dish when served.
